Last night we sang at the nursing home with the church group. Our Sunday school teacher did a devotion from 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” He also read two songs, “Does Jesus Care?” and “No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus,” and gave a brief background as to why they were written.
After visiting the nursing home we went to the church fellowship hall and had a “snowman party”. It was a lot of fun! One activity was a box filled with packing peanuts and prizes. It had this verse on it… “Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, (Job 38:22)” (I think this was the verse.) Whenever your number was called out, you went to the box and picked out 2 prizes. You then kept one, and gave the other away. At the end of the game everyone ends up with 2 prizes. How fun!
Some other activities were making sock snowmen, decorating a gingerbread house, and molding snowmen ornaments out of Sculpy. I made an ornament. It was so much fun!
They (the grown ups) ordered pizza for supper from Sir Pizza.
Well, that’s about it for now. Just a little update on what’s going on.

Hi Guys,
The snowman party was coooooool
wasn't it? I had fun even though
I am a Grandma and I think my three
grandchildren that attended did too. They don't usually like to
participate in group attivities but the hostess always comes up with incredible ideals and ways to carry them out so it was an enjoyable time for us all with a plus because it ties in with Bible Scripture. Well I'd better go but
I enjoy touching base with you which is why I look forward to
getting out and playing some ball
when the weather permits. Maybe soon. LAP Jewel

Susanna,
Oh! I forgot to write about that! I just put an "update" about that on the blog.
Mrs. Jewel,
Yeah, the party was a lot of fun. I'm glad your grandkids had fun, too. They sure do adore Gerald Jr.!
Jennifer,
Your snowman didn't look that bad! :) But it's the fun that counts, right? :)
Hope you have a great week, too!
