Mom wanted me to write about me scrubbing the floors. (Boring topic, huh? :) ) I’ll try to make it as interesting as possible.I stared at the kitchen floor. “Boy is it dirty!” I thought. “I know! I’ll ask Mom if I can scrub the kitchen today! I love scrubbing! I should be done before lunch. Piece of cake!” I asked Mom if I could, and of course, she said yes. :) I started moving things out of the kitchen. I grabbed the broom and started sweeping. As I was sweeping Mom came in and started pulling the stove, refrigerator, etc. out from the wall. “Why are you doing that?” I asked. “So you can clean.” She replied. “Hey! That wasn’t in the bargain! I said I was going to scrub the floors, not deep clean!” I said (good naturedly. :) ) “We’re spring cleaning.” “It’s not even spring!” I protested (good naturedly.) I started cleaning behind the stove. I picked up a small, hard, round object. “What in the world is this?” I wondered. “No! On second thought I don’t want to know. Well, this won’t be so bad. I’ll still be done before lunch.” I started scrubbing. “Whew! This ain’t coming up very easily!”By lunch time I was a third of the way done. “This was supposed to go faster! What happened to all the fun!” I breaked for lunch and started on the floor again. An hour passed. Then two. “what is taking me so long?” I asked myself. Mom kept “encouraging” me to speed up. Finally at 3:30 pm I was finished. “Hurray! I’ve done a great thing! I scrubbed the floor all by myself! :) Where’s my applause?!” (I asked for it and I got it. :) )Sooooo, that’s my view of The Great Floor Scrubbing!

Hi one and all,
It sounds like you all are realy
getting some cleaning done. Maybe
by the time spring rolls around
since you will be caught up there,
you'll all be ready to VOLUNTEER
your services at my house. Only
thing is it would be winter again
before I could determine where to
even start here so don't get your
hopes up. HA lol I'm just glad to
read about a family that pulls
together to accomplish a common
goal. May Gods' blessings bring
more power to you. LAP Jewel
Hey Gera, Maybe the cleaning spirit is rubbing off just reading your post! You make me want to clean too! Well, I guess that's good, since Mom wants us to clean practically the whole house today!
Sharon
So, you like to scrub floors, huh??? Come on over to our place and Momma will find some for you to do as well!! :)
Seriously, we are in the process of trying to get rid of our puppies. Would ya'll like one??? They're free and I KNOW Gerald Jr. would just LOVE to have one!!!! :)
Mrs. Jewel,
LOL! I don't think we'll ever be done with our house. :)
Sharon,
Glad I was able to encourage some cleaning for you! :)
Courtney,
Sure! I'll over in half an hour! :) LOL!
About the puppies....My sisters, Dad and I would all take one in a heartbeat, but my mom doesn't want one right now. Neither do our cats. :) Someone at our church just tried to give us a beagle. Wish I could. :(
