Mom started working on a schedule a few days ago, to help us get our time more organized. She was almost ready to start us on it, when this morning at 6:00 Shanna woke up with a virus. Then Dad woke up, and had the sickness too. He must have brought it home from work…his boss has been out sick and so have a few co-workers. The sickness consists of diarrhea and throwing up. Thankfully Shanna hasn’t thrown up, but Dad has. We are trying to stay away from them so the rest of us won’t get sick, but, of course, they have to be cared for. So much for Mom’s schedule! :) I guess we’ll start that next week. We’ve been eating vitamins like candy (slight exaggeration. :) )
Last Sunday night we had the Phil Dice family come to church. We’ve met them twice before. Bro. Phil preached for us. They recently moved down here to help Pastor Hearth Kennedy at Refuge Baptist Church. Pastor Kennedy’s health has been real bad. Anyway, our pastor called Bro. Dice and asked him to preach for us, if they weren’t having church that night on account of the snow.
We had a wonderful service. I only wish the Dices had brought their instruments. They sing and play so well!
After church we children (and teens) of the church made Valentines cards for the residents of the nursing home.
That’s all for now. Please pray for Dad and Shanna, and that the rest of us don’t get sick! :)

We have been where you are at. Austin and I got it twice. We didn't throw up but had the other part. I have heard there is something going around that lasts two weeks. Lots of chicken soup and sprite or ginger ale. That's what got us through.
I'm sorry to hear that your family
has the sickness too. That is what
my Mother-in-law had and ended up
going to the hospital since it
lasted over two days with her before she started to get better
but still hasn't got to come home
from hospital.
I also need to setup a to do list to fall back on when my schedule gets changed around with people cancelling on me or due to bad weather. That way I can see what is next on my list and get to it without wondering what to do when a
moment comes open. Well I need
to go to bed now but wanted to
send your family my sympathy and
a prayer that good health will
pay your home a visit soon and
stay till it's welcome runs out.

Feel better!!! That is nooo fun:)
Hey there, Gera!
Been there, done that. Ugh, I hate the stomach flu! I'd rather have (almost) anything!
Our weather here has been pretty muggy, cold (for Texas) and damp, but today we actually got some sunshine! A common saying around here is, "You don't like the weather in Texas? Well stick around - it'll change!"

Brandy,
Yeah, we fixed a whole lot of chicken soup for them. They are both doing a lot better now.
Mrs. Jewel,
Is your mother in law home yet? I hope she gets to feeling better.
Jennifer,
They are feeling better now. I'll tell them what you said. :)
Sharon,
Hmmm....what IS cold for Texas? :) I've never been there. The past few mornings here in NC it's been around 17 degrees.

Hi again,
My mother in law is still in the
hospital due to other complications
They have already moved her three
times and that doesn't help the
situation with her. Thanks for your
concern and I hope you will keep
praying. I'm glad your sister and
Dad are doing much better and look
forward to seeing you all at church. I need to get in bed
very soon or I will be falling
a sleep during services. If you all
sing I hope it will be loud and
keep me awake, lol. I got started
listening to some music videos
on another friends blog site
and the time got away from me
but I was rejoicing so I'm not
worried since my time wasn't wasted
C U later, Love Jewel
