The Forgotten Detail

I forgot a major detail about the party! Mrs. Jewel, Susanna and I had to mix the royal icing mix for the gingerbread house. But we didn’t have a mixer. So I started out with a Wisk mixing it on “low” for one minute. Then Mrs. Jewel took over and mixed it on “medium” for one minute. Susanna and I both had to hold on to the bowl so it wouldn’t go flying off across the kitchen. Then our pastor’s wife came in and busted out laughing at us and got Susanna’s dad to take our picture. He jokingly asked, “How many Baptists does it take to mix up icing?”
So there’s the missing detail.

Oh yeah! I forgot about the incident with the icing also. Well
at least they didn't have to pay for a clown to drop by and stir
up some excitement. With the joy
of the Lord in our heart we can
stir up our own, right? Stirring
up the icing was a fun challenge;
the sticky predicament was when
I got out of hand and threw my
gift at you know who. What kind
of influence was that for the
little ones? I was at the party
and having a good time but my
mind was not totaly there because
at the same time my younger
daughter was at the hospital in ER
having her neck checked out due
to old injury. She had a friend
with her so I felt it was better
for me to bring the children
there including her daughter
so she could keep her mind off
not being able to be with Mom. I
know that's a poor excuse for
my behavior but I'm sticking to
it, probably because I've still
got icing on the brain. ha, lol
I guess that's proof that not
having arms strong enough to stir
icing alone, isn't my only weakness, but I do have some
strong points but it wouldn't be
very sharp of me to stick around
on your blog site trying to point
them out, besides I hope I don't have to since you know a little
bit about me that's not all bad,
I hope. Speaking of hope, it is
a blessing to have the hope and
assurance that one day we will
enter heaven where there will be
no devil to stir up trouble in
our mind and lives, plus all the
other blessings to numerous to
mention. Even though I so often
fall short of living a pure and
perfect life I can still claim
the victory because of Gods'
Word in Isiah 55:7 which says
Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his
thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy
upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. The rest
of that chapter is good also
which speaks about the everlasting
salvation but I'll close now so
I can spend some time studing it
and better prepare myself for
the challenges that are ahead.
I hope there is not a limit to
how much you can put on these
sites since I tend to have a habit
of writing a lot these days. If
I'm getting out of hand just let
me know and I'll try to freshen
up on my shorthand. ha, lol

Mrs. Jewel,
You're so funny. I don't think there's a limit on words in a comment. :)
I didn't know your daughter was in the ER Monday night. We'll be praying for her.
