Wow, October is flying by. I really don’t mind, though. I’m looking forward to 2009 and our new baby. It’s not like me to wish my life away, but I am already very tired from this pregnancy. I want to bend so bad and work on some organizing projects, but my body just doesn’t cooperate. I had to take the 3-hour glucose-screening test yesterday, because I slightly failed the 1-hour test last Thursday. Thankfully I passed it. I’m blaming Gerald for it because he brought me a large Little Debbie cake last Wednesday night and my 1-hour test was the next day. I ate it without thinking. :)
Gerald and Gera were the only ones to go to services last Wednesday night. We have all been coughing with a lot of congestion. Our service was moved to the outdoor tabernacle since Camp Meeting was going on. It rained a lot Wednesday night. Gera was scheduled to play the organ that’s why they didn’t stay home, but we know now they should have. Gerald’s cough turned into the flu by Sunday evening. He finally went back to work today, but he was so weak. He’s not going with us to services tonight because they’re still outdoors. We would like to be able to attend all of them, but with the distance and different ones running a fever it just hasn’t worked out. Lord willing, the girls will be singing in the meeting tonight.
We were in a wonderful Revival service last Friday night. Thankfully it was indoors. :) The girls were asked to sing. The pastor was interested in Gerald and talked to him about the ministry. He wants to give Gerald’s name to some other preachers he knows and who are part of a mission board he helps with. Gerald told him he just wants God’s will for his life and to please pray for us. It was a real blessing to be with those dear people.
God Bless,~Vicky~
