A Time of Fellowship

We were invited yesterday to a family’s house. They live on a cattle farm. They grilled out hamburgers and hotdogs for us. Yummy! After the meal we went down to the barn and got to pet a calf who’s mom won’t feed him. They have to bottle-feed him.
After seeing the calf we went on a hayride. Yippee! They took us all over their 100 acres of land. Their land connects with the Uharrie River, though the river isn’t very big there.
After the hayride we went back to their house and had dessert of chocolate pecan pie, chocolate mint cream pie, etc. and coffee. Mmmm, Mmmm, good!
Before we ate dessert our host brought out his 3 guitars; one of which his neighbor had made, and another was a 12 string. They were fun to play!
After dessert we played a game that I think was called Character Cue. Someone would read a definition from a card and the others, if they had the right character name in their hand, would call out that name. If they were right, they would get a match. If they were wrong, they had to give their card to the reader. It was a lot of fun!
We really enjoyed our time of fellowship with them.

Sounds like SO much fun! What's the weather like there? Warm? It's been really warm today. It's not really hot, but there's quite a bit of humidity, which is unusual for around here, so that makes everything seem hotter.

I really enjoy reading your posts. I've been sick for the past few days so I haven't been able to do much with blog stuff, but I'm trying to work on it!

Sharon,
No, the weather hasn't been warm. It's actually been very cold and rainy. It's depressing. :) Maybe it will brighten up and warm up after while.
Glad you're feeling better!
