Update By Mom

We have been having some wonderful services this week in Revival with Bro. Jimmy Rose-field director for Brazil. His ministry in Brazil lasted 40+ years. We’ve invited some of my family and they’re supposed to come tonight. I’m praying they’ll be there. Dad wanted to be there last night when our girls were singing, but he had to work late. He’s planning to come tonight.
We’ve gotten to spend some time with Uncle Joe and Aunt Lucille Stevens on Sunday after our meal at church. Our older girls got to spend some special time with my cousins who live next door to my uncle and aunt (their daughter and son-and-law). David gave them some pointers on their guitar playing and retuned Shanna’s guitar with new strings and something called a “pick-up” added to it and several other improvements. He now has Gera’s guitar to do the same to. What a blessing and encouragement they have been to our family.
Gera got up the nerve to play the mandolin with Shanna on guitar for the song, “The Walls Came Tumbling Down” last night in revival. Ryana, Sarah and Faith sang with them. They were a blessing to us all. An older member had requested the song.
Shanna has been sewing all last week and so far this week and so far this week. We like to keep our mending pile caught up, but the move put us behind. We had also accumulated much materials to make skirts and t-shirt dresses for the younger girls. So she’s been getting all caught up. She fixed a western t-shirt dress for Gera yesterday so they could all dress western tonight for revival. She sewed Faith and Gera burgundy skirts so everyone will have burgundy to wear one night.
We’ve abbreviated school a little this week so we can get enough rest for the services and keep the housework and laundry caught up.
Gerald is still doing good and enjoying his new job. He is scheduled to preach Homecoming for a church nearby at the first of October. We’ll be with them for the morning and evening services and then a revival for another church the next night. Please pray for him to get enough study time in.
God bless!
~Vicky~
