Update on Gerald and Shanna

It is so nice to get this year started off with a little more order. We left the Christmas decorations up longer this year to cheer Gerald after his hydrocele surgery. It’s been two and a half weeks since his surgery and he’s improving everyday. The pain is still there, but decreasing. The more he’s up, the more he has bruising. So he tries to find things to do that don’t require much standing. He’s repaired three dresser drawers for me, studied a lot and listens to preaching tapes. It’s hard for him to know what he can lift without bruising. Gerald Loren wants his dad to carry him, but he can’t for long periods of time. There’s patching and painting he’s wanting to get to at church, but he needs to heal some first. He’s back to running errands and visitation, but other things just has to wait a little while. He goes to the doctor on Friday.
Shanna goes back to the doctor tomorrow (Wed. January 24th) to hear about the results of her tilt table test. It’s supposed to tell us why she’s been passing out. She has passed out 7-8 times since Christmas Eve. 2004. Once she was standing up playing her guitar and singing when it happened. An MRI and CAT scan have ruled out tumors and now they are looking at her heart. The tilt table appointment was supposed to take over an hour and the idea was to create circumstances for her to pass out. They were all shocked when she passed out 14 minutes into the appointment. We are still not sure what all this means, but we’ll post an update after her appointment, Lord willing.
While writing the above the phone rang and the cardiologist office wanted to re-do her test to make sure of the readings. At least they’re going to be able to do it tomorrow before her scheduled appointment. She will now be skipping breakfast and we’ll all be leaving earlier. The office is about an hour and a half away.
Oh, I’ll get back to the Christmas decorations and order on another post.

God bless,
~Vicky~
