Happy Presidents’ Day!
Our Presidents’ Day started out in total darkness. Literally. Our power was out. :S Dad went out to the building and got his lantern so he could see to get ready for work. Around 7:30am our smoke detector screamed and our power came back on. Hooray!
Yesterday in-between church we went and visited an older lady that lives nearby. She was such an encouragement! Her husband died before their 5th wedding anniversary, so she has been a widow for 40 years. (Tomorrow would have been their anniversary.) They had one little girl that was born with a lot of health problems, and died October 2001 at the age of 36. She (the elderly lady) has been through a lot in her life, but she doesn’t complain and she doesn’t blame God. She has such a sweet spirit! We really enjoyed our visit with her. Her church has no evening services, so she gets real lonely in the evenings. Please keep her in you prayers.
Sunday morning a couple brought their 6-month-old granddaughter to church with them. Of course, I was excited. :) After the service I got to hold her. She is so adorable and alert! Her cheeks are as red as roses! :)
Saturday afternoon we (us and Grandma) went on a nature walk through the woods to the springs that Grandma’s brother had rocked around. Of course there were a lot of leaves all over them now, but it was still beautiful.
Here are some pics.
Well, that’s enough of my ramblings for one day. :)

Do you think you'll get any more snow before spring? Here in Texas we're about done with winter. There's been a lot of days that we can go out in short-sleeves! But the weather is real bad for colds...so a lot of us have the sore throat etc...
Keep posting! Happy (belated) President's Day to you, too!

Hi Rambling Gera; ha
The nature walk sounded interesting. I still like to get out and walk in the woods. It's
fun and safer when you know whose
property you are on. I say that
because Sunday after my husband
brought me back to my van that I
had left at the church while we
went to lunch at my daughters', I
decided to get out behind the
church and walk some. The thought
came to my mind that I might be
able to find my daughters' purse
that someone stole out of her
van one Sunday during church.
I thought there might be a chance
that someone could have thrown it
down after looking through it and
getting what they wanted. It
didn't turn up but I still enjoyed
my walk although I was a little
afraid that someone was going to
mistake me for a deer or something
and come after me with a gun. ha
Well I was just taking a little
break after working this morning,
now I need to get busy going
through some more of my clothes
in the closet. It's beginning to
seem like an endless task

Sharon,
I doubt if we will get any more snow...I don't know for sure, though. We had a few days lately with mid 70's.
Hope you get to feeling better!
Mrs. Jewel,
I remember that happening to your daughter. For some reason, though, I had it in my blond head that it was your granddaughter that it happened to. :S

Great pictures, it's good to get outside and enjoy the day sometimes:) did you ever find a way to put music on your page?
I hope you get to posting soon! I know how it is to be too busy to do much on your blog.
Sharon
Jennifer,
I looked at the sugested websites, but they all wanted me to set up another account on their websites so I could upload my music, and I didn't want to go through all that. :) Thanks for your help, though!
Sharon,
I'm wanting to put another post on real soon, but, as you've said, it's been real busy. I do have some things in mind to write about, though. :)
