Gerald Jr.'s 2nd Birthday

Our little man thoroughly enjoyed his 2nd birthday. I had the girls to each write something about their brother on a piece of paper. Here are excerpts from them:
Faith (4) wrote-Dear Gerald, you are 2 years old. I am 4. I love you. Your birthday cake is cute. Your buddy, Boof (Faith).
Sarah (8) wrote about teaching Gerald to walk and said, “You are the best brother anyone could ask for. If Mom wasn’t here you wouldn’t be here.” Then she drew pictures of Gerald Jr. singing and holding Faith’s hand.
Ryana (11) wrote: My most rememberable moment with Gerald Jr. is when I first met him. Mom put his in my arms. I could not believe I had a brother. Now I can’t believe I have a 2 year old brother! I love him so much. Watching him grow up is something I thought I would never get to experience. I enjoy every moment of it. I love him.
Gera (16) wrote-…Imagine our excitement when we found out you were a boy! (Of course, we would have loved you just as much if you were a girl.) You are the best little brother anyone could ever ask for…I love to see how devoted you are to your prayers and how you mention each one of us in them…Love, Nana
Shanna (21) wrote-…The things that stood out to me was your little fingers that you’d make curl back and that winning smile…Your adorable hands still touch my heart as you play with your toys or give hugs…It cheers my day to see you run up the hall from a nap and smiling as if you’d just saved the world…Always live for God and obey your parents right away! Lovingly, Shanna
Gerald got a visit from Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mark on his birthday. Along with a HUGE stuffed golden lab dog. It was almost the length of our sofa. Gerald and the younger girls went wild over it. He even drug it to bed last night. We talked him into letting it sleep on the floor near his bed.
Gerald Sr. preached on Marriage Relationship: Enjoying the Differences last night. The message was well received. After services we kept Gerald Jr. awake ‘till we got home. Then we finished celebrating with him over cake, Sprite and Doritos! Of course he had to have a bath afterwards. He wanted the animals from his cake in the tub with him. There was cake floating all in the tub. I think I got his clean. :) He slept a lot later this morning.

Oh! I'm exclaiming not only over
the fact that these are adorable
pictures, but also because I over
looked little Gerald Jrs' birthday.
I must be having senior days now
instead of moments. I am so sorry
I forgot and to think we seen each
other that day and everything. I
would tell you to tell him how
sad I am to have forgotten but
he probably wouldn't understand
who you were talking about. I
will try to remember to bring him
a gift Sunday so he will forgive me. I've been looking at one of
my old birthday list because I
keep misplacing my new one and
his name isn't on it. Maybe one
day I will get better organized.
The next time you girls get in a
cleaning mood and run out of stuff
to do at your house you can come
see me. On second thought you can
help from your home, just pray for me. Well enough about me and my forgetfullness or disorganization, I just wanted to let you know I'm so thankful for each member of your family, med, small, young and younger ha! thought I was going to say old weren't you. I know better; I know you
all are so proud of him and for
good reason. He already seems
like such a well trained, smart
and funny kid and even with all
you girls smothering him with
attention he doesn't smell
spoiled at all. ha lol. The
Lord has truly blessed your
family and I believe without
a doubt that He is going to
continue blessing and using you
to bless and encourage many
other people. Give Gerald Jr.
a hug for me if you've got one
to spare and I'll owe you both one Sunday. LAP Jewel

Those pictures are adorable! He reminds me of my little brother when he was about that age. Now all Jason likes to do is fly airplanes and play football with his big brothers when they're home from college!
