Our Valentine's Day

Mom got a surprise yesterday…a dozen roses from her sweetheart! :) They had a heart shaped balloon attached that said, “I Love You.” She also received another surprise…when she set then down on the porch steps to read the card, the balloon came disconnected from the ribbon! :( Shanna called the florist and they brought another one. Whew! :)
Mom fixed a special “Sweetheart Banquet” meal for Dad and also invited my Grandpa Hurley. Of course, we got to eat, too. :) Yum! ;)
One thing happened yesterday that was real sad…my uncle’s horse had to be put to sleep. :( A week or two ago she had jumped over a gate to get to the hay, and when it went to jump back over the gate, it got it’s leg caught and messed it up pretty bad. My uncle treated it with an antibiotic, but it wasn’t helping her and she was really suffering, so she had to be put down. :( She was such a pretty, jet-black horse.
Saturday we’ll be, once again, going with Grandpa for art lessons. Such fun!
