Our Weekend

Last Saturday Grandpa Miller picked us up and took us to his church. He has started art lessons on Saturdays. It was so much fun! He taught the basics of drawing and shading. Then he started us on drawing portraits. I had a lot of fun, even though I have no talent whatsoever, unless it is drawing cartoons. :)Shanna is the artist in our family, and Sarah and Faith are showing a lot of talent in that area.
Saturday evening Dad put a new battery on our riding lawn mower. No more jumper cables! :) He hitched our little trailer to the back of it, to take the kids for a ride. One problem: it didn’t have enough power to go uphill! Dad looked over the mower, and found two belts that were stretched out. He decided to take the kids for a ride anyway. :) So we (Mom and I) pushed them up the driveway, and then he turned it around and went flying down the hill. :) It was a funny sight.
We had a good service at church yesterday. Our song leader and his family sang, “God’s Been Good In My Life.” It was a blessing! Pastor preached from Revelation 2:1-7, asking the church what would Jesus tell us if we received a letter from Him? Would He have “somewhat” against us?
We had another friend to come to church yesterday, Mrs. Margaret. She hasn’t been able to come because of health problems. It was also good to have Dad better and back at church with us.
See ya!
