Now, I’ve been saving the exciting news for last…Our oldest is engaged. That’s right, Shanna is preparing to leave the nest. She and Jason began their courtship this past March after he called her dad asking to begin writing her and possibly courting her. We invited him down in May and once a month there after. Last weekend (Labor Day Weekend) he and his parents came down for a visit (and a surprise proposal.)
We have known Jason and his family for 8 years. My husband taught Jason in the Christian Church School he worked at while he was the Pastor’s assistant in Maryland. We are all excited for them. As Gera puts it, “We all approve of him.”
