Our Family Update

Our family got a nice surprise this week when my cousin invited us up to their house for Gera to try out an organ they had just recently acquired. Her husband, whom our girls have come to fondly call the “Guitar Doctor” had kept Shanna’s guitar recently and made a lot of improvements on it and now had Gera’s ready as well. So on Tuesday our gang of happy girls entered my cousin’s house to see the organ. To Gera’s bewilderment she was handed a cable and a manual and told “Here, you might need this.” Before they could ask any questions, they were presented with a new amplifier!! It was something my cousin’s husband had wanted to do for them so they could use it when they sing in Nursing Homes and churches that don’t have sound systems. What an answer to prayer! We saw the need for one when we were still in Maryland, but we knew God knew all about it and other things took priority at the time. We had just recently been able to set them up a music account to save for it four days before. What timing. They each agreed to use their money to buy microphones and maybe a couple stands for now.
Our three younger girls were excited when he made the offer to keep their two guitars and make some “adjustments” for them. And when they thought it couldn’t get any better they ordered out pizza. There were smiles all around!!

What a blessing to hear such good news, hearing your girls sing is much better that having the blues.
I'm sure the residents at the
nursing homes will agree, I'm so
thankful God has richly blessed thee. Love you all,
Jewel

That's great how God supplied your need!!
I'm sorry I haven't been over here for awhile, but from what I've read, ya'll are staying very busy being "keepers in training". :)

Speaking of surprises I'm sorry
yours on your birthday was the
absence of a card
Usually I'm better at remembering
but I guess I've been working my
mind and body to hard
Remembering things is a little more
difficult now that I've begun(ha)
to get older in years
Perhaps you didn't think any thing
about it or consider it to be a
reason to shed tears
Reading long comments is probably
not on your family agenda but
I've got to use all the letters
in the word surprise
I love writing these acrostics but
I suppose others don't recognize
that's what I'm doing since the
lines run together in my replys
So I will end now by again saying
I'm sorry I forgot to send you
a card for your recent birthday
Excuse me also for taking up so
much time but I hope you enjoyed
what my rhyme had to say
