Update From Vicky

Hello Everyone.
Thought I’d take a break from laundry and let you know I’m still alive. I had planned to help Gera keep this blog updated, but she’s had to go it alone. Oh, well maybe someday. :)
It’s very hard for me to keep packing and not do routine things. I love routine, order, schedules. But those are only a memory right now. I just folded a dust cloth and my heart skipped a beat. Dusting. Yes, I remember dusting...and vacuuming and cleaning the windows. I did stop and organize the kitchen and mop it awhile ago. That gave me peace of mind.
Shanna decided yesterday to have a yard sale today since we were cleaning out as we packed. So the little ones are "helping" her and staying outside a lot. A couple took two of our kittens and the girls are praying some of the others will be placed in homes before the move.
We’re planning to drive down to Thurmont, MD this weekend to tell our good friends at Pioneer Baptist (Pastor Coblentz) "Good-bye." This is the part that is so hard. We love them so much. But we’re praying God will allow us to come back each year for Campmeeting.
Please continue to pray for my husband’s health. He has had three good days and has even been able to help some with packing, but he’s still on a lot of pain medicine. He’s starting to taper it off some, though. We’re gonna miss his doctor. A Christian doctor is hard to find. The doctor gave us a website to look up a Christian doctor in our area in NC, then the doctor had prayer with us.
It’s not always easy waiting to "see" what God’s gonna do, but the sweet peace that we have that He’s in control makes times like these so precious. God bless you all. I better get back to my boxes!

We are all praying for y'all as you pack. It's good to hear that Gerald has been doing better the last few days. I know it must be hard to leave dear friends...but here's one friend who is very excited! LOL! Love ya, and can't wait to see ya!
