Well, I know it’s been a little while since I’ve wrote anything, so I have A LOT to tell. Dad has resigned the church. We are now packing for NC! I’m really excited. Dad had planned on resigning on Sunday morning, but God had other plans. He ended up resigning Wednesday night. Please pray for us as we pack. Dad’s health is still bad, so this move to NC is also a time of recuperation.
On Thursday we went to a Flag on the Mountain ceremony, to celebrate Flag Day. My sisters and I sang the National Anthem and "The Spirit of America", and I played "Stars and Stripes Forever". It was a lot of fun. We saw many MANY military men from all different ranks. After the ceremony we went outside and watched some officers retire some flags. It was very interesting.
Friday a couple from NC came to our house for a visit. It was nice getting to see them again. They stayed for my graduation the next day. After they left to go to their hotel, we started decorating the house for my graduation. Since Dad resigned, I was to have my graduation at the house.
Saturday-a day filled with a lot of excitement. I woke up and went to the livingroom. There was a card for me on the piano. I opened it, and all of a sudden it started blaring out Pomp and Circumstance. I quickly shut it and told Mom I had better read it in my room, because my little sisters were still asleep upstairs.
At about 10:30 people started arriving. The first here was a surprise...a whole van load of teenage girls from a church in PA, and one of the girls’s parents. I was very excited. After everyone had arrived, I had 7 people from MD, 9 from PA, 5 from WV and 2 from NC, not counting my immediate family. I sang my song I wrote, "By Watching You". After I sang it, I gave Mom 3 roses for teaching and "putting up with me" for all these years. My sisters quoted Galatians 5:22-25 and sang a Ron Hamilton song, "Bring Forth Fruit." (The theme for my Graduation was the Fruit of the Spirit.) Half way through my speech I got choked up, but I made it through. Then Dad preached, and it was like he was addressing it directly to me, because he was sitting on a stool beside the piano, and I was on the piano bench, and he would turn, and be looking straight at me throughout the message.
Afterwards, the lady from NC came up to me and told me they had to leave and head back to NC because their horse had had an accident, and it might even die. I hated not being able to visit with them more, but I know I’ll get to see them a lot more now that we’re moving to NC. (They attend the same church we do in NC.)
I had a lot of fun, and the last visitors to leave were the girls from PA. I was so glad they stayed so long. We got to talk a lot, and show off each other’s scrapbooks. We played volley ball, too.
On Sunday morning we celebrated Father’s Day with Dad and presented him with his gifts. Then we went to a church in WV. They had a meal after the morning service and then had the evening service at 2:00, which my dad preached. Afterwards we went back home and rested, then went to another church in MD for their evening service. The pastor and his wife had been to my graduation the previous day, and had asked me to sing my song at their church. I had never sang solo for a church service before. I was NERVOUS! But thankfully they had all of us girls to sing a special too. They also had me play "Stars and Stripes Forever" for offering. The pastor’s wife asked me as soon as we got there if I would, so Mom and Shanna ran home and got my music for me. Well, they didn’t exactly RUN home...they drove. :) I hadn’t played the song since Thursday, so I was very nervous about that, too. I was able to play through it once before church though, thankfully! After service we went out to eat at Dennys to treat Dad. He started having chills in the restaurant so we put Gerald Jr.’s blanket across his legs and we sat real close to him to warm him. The chills didn’t last long.
Well, that’s about it for now. This post is pretty long. Hope I didn’t bore you to death. :) I’m hoping to post some pictures on here as soon as I can. That will be when the girls can send me some. :( There was a misunderstanding about my camera, so I didn’t get any pictures until after the ceremony. But I’ll post some soon, hopefully!

Gera,
Hope you had a good graduation! I've been wanting to e-mail you but I haven't gotten a chance, since we're in Nova Scotia and we have to go to someone's house to get on the internet. We've been busy, but you can see my blog for more of what's happening on our end.
Love ya!
