Howdy!

Hello Again, Everyone!
Last Saturday was Sarah’s birthday. We went down to Thurmont, MD to tell everyone goodbye down there. (Dad preached Sunday night, as well.) Sarah had a "delightful" gift presented to her...a broken arm. She jumped off a swing and fractured two bones near her elbow. (We were out of town at a couple’s house from Pioneer Baptist Church.) We put it in a sling and thought it might just be a sprain or something, but not broke. She only cried the first night with it. On Tuesday Mom and Dad took her to the doctor for an x-ray. Do you know it’s taken almost a week to get her a cast? She won’t get it until this coming Monday, because this doctor is booked, this doctor won’t take our insurance, neither will this one, but finally a doctor’s assistant found a doctor that would do it....an hour and a half away. Arrgh!
Sunday, in-between church we went home with a couple from Pioneer Baptist to eat. We had a wonderful time! Except Gerald Jr. ran and bumped his head on a door frame, and a goose egg popped up instantly. But he’s used to scrapes and scratches! :)
After church Sunday night we went out to eat with the couple whose house we had been at when Sarah broke her arm. (They are the nicest people!!) There was a couple sitting behind us whom I didn’t know, but they were taken with Gerald Jr., because of how often he had us pray over our meal (like, every bite!:) ) That opened it up to talk to them. Come to find out, they were the owners of the resturant! The employer of one of the people that had taken us out that night! Wow! After Gerald Jr. got through eating, he wanted to go see the trucks. (The restraunt has a shop with cards, jewelry, model cars, stuffed animals, etc.) Gerald Jr. really liked the stuffed animals. All of a sudden the owner was behind us, and asked if Gerald Jr. wanted a stuffed animal. He picked out a striped cat (of all animals for a boy!:) ) The owner then asked if the rest of us wanted one. Ryana picked out a Persian cat, Sarah picked a brown dog, Faith got a little brown bear, Shanna received a big brown bear, and I picked a dog with a graduates cap on that read "Class of 2007" and had a diploma in his mouth. So cute!!! We will cherish these as moving away gifts.
Monday we went to another friend’s house. They have two daughters...one near my age (Erin) and one in-between Sarah’s and Ryana’s ages (McKenna). They are such a nice family! Erin and I talked, played games, talked, played the piano and keyboard, talked, looked at books, talked, she did my hair, we talked, ate lunch, and talked. Did I mention that we talked? :) We had a lot of fun. It ended all too soon, though we were there 6 hours. It’s never enough time! :) After we left we went up the mountain to another family’s house and ate supper with them...turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, corn, and hosts of other good stuff! It was delicious! Unfortunately I developed a toothache on account of my 12 year molars finally coming in. I tried gnawing on some ice, but that didn’t help. The pain was gone when I woke the next morning, though. Hooray!
Yesterday we went through a car wash. This was the first time Gerald Jr. had ever been through one. His first reaction? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I jumped back to the middle seat in our van and quickly got him out of his car seat. He was alright then...looking around and pointing, laughing. Well, maybe next time it won’t be so bad. :)
Here’s a praise-we had been needing a new car seat for Gerald Jr. because he had outgrown his, and the booster seats we had were too big. Mom and Shanna went out yard saling yesterday, but didn’t find one. But guess what?? They went out again this morning and found one for $10.00! The Lord is good!!!
Adios for now!

I've meant to post a comment here for some time but the few times I tried my computer would get stuck... but it worked this time, horray! Mr. and Mrs. Tripp,
Thank you for your prayers. You got that right...never a dull moment! :)

Nora,
Thanks for stopping by!! I'm glad your computer is finally letting you comment! I didn't know you'd been reading here. What a pleasant suprise! Can't wait to get that letter! Tell your Dad "thank you" for his prayers for Dad and Gerald Jr. Gerald's doing better since he got rid of his fever. Dad's had some good days, but he over did it on Thursday and so he was in a lot of pain on Friday. He's doing a lot better now, though. God bless you!
Oh, and Sarah says thanks!
