Well, It doesn’t look like any doctors around here wants to be of any help. Dad went to his appointment today, and the urologist was kind of smart alecky. He said that he thought Dad’s case would have been something really severe. Excuse me, but do you call sleeping in the floor all night because you didn’t have the strength to get into bed, not severe? I’m sorry, but I’m a little riled up about this. He asked if anyone had given Dad a diagnosis, and Dad said no. "Well, you’ve got prostatitis. Now you have a diagnosis." Very cold. He only gave them 5 minutes, then he was gone. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory that Dad is allergic to, and left. He didn’t listen to the story or anything. How frustrating! He said to come back in 1-2 months. Mom asked what to do about him passing out, and he said, "I can’t help that."
If he’s right and Dad does have prostatitis he’ll be on antibiotics for a month or more. We learned from our own research that the prostatitis could have been caused when Dad was cathorized last March 2006. Please keep praying.
Well, on a brighter note, a lady at our church had her baby this morning around 6:00. It was another little girl. She has one other daughter. Congratulations, Sarah!

What a wise guy that doctor was! Elizabeth's cochlear implant surgeon was abrasive like that too. No bedside manner. Praying Gerald is better now that there is a diagnosis and some medication....they did manage to get him something that he was not allergic to???

Laura,
Dad's other doctor got him a different antibiotic.
Don't you just hate it when doctors treat you like that?!
