We had a wonderful time on Tuesday. We went to the National Sword of the Lord Conference. We went early enough for the 2:00-3:30 seminars. Mom, Dad, Ryana, Sarah, Faith and Gerald Jr. listened in on the “Building a Strong Church in a Small Town” seminar that was preached by a friend of ours, Pastor Dennis Leatherman. Shanna and I went to the music seminar taught by Sterlin Walsh and John Williams. The messages were really good! The main focus was knowing why you are singing or playing. It’s not all about you; it’s about praising the Lord. We really enjoyed the session. We got to sit with my friend Courtney and her sister and cousin. It was good to see her again!
After the seminars we went over to the school gym where they had booths set up with books, CDs, messages, ties, suits, etc. for sale. My favorite booth was probably the Fundamental Broadcasting Network (FBN) booth. We listened to that radio station when we lived in Maryland, but we can’t get a signal down here. :( We got to meet the founder of the station, and his wife. They were a blessing.
Greg Baker and Sam Davidson preached the evening messages. They were really good as well.
God bless!
