Dad had his surgery done yesterday at 7:30 am. The surgeon, Dr. Lance, looked at his gallbladder and said that nothing was wrong with it. But when he looked at Dad’s appendix, it was covered in scar tissue. The diagnosis: Chronic Appendicitis. He’d had a CT scan done in 2006, checking to see if his appendix had ruptured. But only acute appendicitis would have shown up on the scan. Dr. Lance removed Dad’s appendix. Dad came home around lunchtime yesterday. He is really sore from the surgery, but at least now he can see a light at the end of the tunnel, and he says it’s not a train. :) The doctor said that Dad can expect to have 80-90% less pain now. Praise God! He can’t drive for a week, but he’s looking forward to getting back to work soon. Thanks to everyone for the prayer support!

We are so thankful that Bro. Gerald's surgery went well. Praise God!! We will still be praying for his recovery.
