This past Thursday we had a wonderful visit with the lady I used to work for before I became a mother. I hadn’t seen her in probably 8 or more years. I used to stop by the office to say hello before we moved to Maryland.
Shanna and Gera had walked into a specialty shop that she was working at last week when they were out shopping with Gerald’s dad. She recognized them right away, but they didn’t recognize her. But it didn’t take long before everyone was smiling and embracing one another. They called me on the cell phone to let me talk to her. We had kept up with each other by email and Christmas cards, but it was so nice to hear her voice. I promised her I would stop by to see her and so I did this past Thursday. All the children were with me, so the girls sang a song for her. We then made another stop to say hello to a couple friends. One I knew from homeschooling, but had not seen in years. I was a nice reunion.
