Happy belated Thanksgiving!
Wednesday for lunch we met Dad at his work. They served us barbecue. They even had a whole pig laid out on the table, with an apple in it’s mouth! :) Sarah wasn’t going to eat it when she saw it. She said, “I don’t eat my friends!” (She loves pigs.) She thought they were going to cut strips of meat right off the pig, but they had already cut meat and were chopping it up in a separate dish, so it wasn’t so bad. We had a wonderful meal, we got to meet Dad’s coworkers, and we got a tour of his office. We had a real good time.
Wednesday night at church, Susanna (one of our friends) sang “I Just Want to Thank You, Lord”, and God really got in the service. People started going down to the altar and praying. It was wonderful. Afterwards we had a testimony service, and Pastor had us girls come up and sing “Gonna Stand By Me.”
Thursday for lunch we had a meal with Mom’s side of the family. There was a little five month old baby girl there that I enjoyed getting to hold while her mom ate lunch. She was so adorable! Well, to tell you the truth, I’ve never met an ugly baby. :)
Thursday night we ate with Dad’s side of the family. Afterwards we girls played a game of Monopoly with our cousin. All in all yesterday was filled with a lot of enjoyment.
How about you? Leave a comment and tell me what you did for Thanksgiving.

We've had Thanksgiving a day late so Matt and D could have some rest after flying in. We've all had a great time together! And Meredith has had fun playing with our old toys, jabbering baby talk, making faces, and (best of all) learning what a piano is! Oh yes, she is a great musician. :P
It was just us four yesterday, but we still made enough food to feed an army! So we just did some things around the house and ate. In the evening my cousin and her husband and children came over to eat dessert with us.
So, we had a great day!
Sounds like you did too!
It sounds like God gave you much
to be thankful for on the day
that’s sat aside to do just that.
As usually I also had a good time
meeting with family and doing the
thing that makes me fat.
Thanksgiving morning I watched the
parade on TV while cooking then
went to Mother-in-laws’ for lunch.
Everyone brought in a covered dish
so by the time we put them all on
the table we really had a bunch.
Turkey and ham was served with all
the trimmings plus vegetables and
special desserts galore.
Of course like usual I thought one
plate wasn't sufficient enough
so I went back for more.
My oldest daughter prepared supper
and had me, my husband and her
sister over to eat that night.
Untangling her lights was an added
bonus but it was worth it to see
her Christmas tree shine bright.
Christmas will be the next time
we’ll likely meet to do the same
thing I’ve spelled out with the
first letters in each sentence of
this rhyme.
Hope you didn’t get tried reading
about my day; despite my full
tummy I had a very blessed time.
Love Jewel

Hey!
We had a nice Thanksgiving, actually two! One on the day with Dad's parents, and one on Saturday with Mom's side. It was nice, at Saturday was noisy! :) Hope y'all are doing well.
Shanna, I'm sending you a letter today.
In Christ,
Desirae
Hey! Just wanted to say - I like the new template!
I know how it can be to look for one -there are TONS out there to choose from - but I really like this one! Good choice!
I cooked my turkey, we ate. Then we went to Gin and Barbara's and visited there. We left, went to Wal-Mart to get a tree, then went home and up some Christmas Deco...
Desirae and Brandy,
Thanks for telling me about your thanksgivings!
Lindsey,
Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
Gera
I also like your new template. Now
what you need to do is put some of
your families good singing in the
background and you'll be set and
we will be blessed. Jewel again LAP
Mrs. Jewel,
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Unfortunately I don't know how to add background music. :( Thanks for the compliment, though. :)

Hi there, Gera!
Since my dad was gone all week to be at his dad's funeral in PA, he had the computer and therefore, my internet access was gone! So here I am again. I had a very happy birthday; thanks for the e-mail! It's funny that you know Desirae; I saw her comment and instantly thought of my older sister Kathryn, who by now is married and has a little boy, of course. Desirae used to write Kathryn when she was still at home, so that's why I think of that.
We celebrated our Thanksgiving at a Prophet's Chamber in Eugene, Oregon, and we had turkey (of course), mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, probably more delicious foods that I can't think of right now and pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top! Yum, Yum!
Sharon,
Wow, that is neat about us knowing the same people.:)
Thanks for telling me about your Thanksgiving!
Gera
Well, you probably already know what I did for Thanksgiving.....went to GA for campmeeting and to spend time with my special friend. :)
Courtney,
Yeah. It sounds like you had fun. :) :)
