Our Mother's Day

Happy Belated Mother’s Day!!

We had an unusual Mother’s Day this year, starting the day before. We had been planning for a Mother Daughter Banquet for that Saturday, at which Mom was supposed to give the welcome and a speech. You can imagine our dismay when we found out that morning that Mom was sick with mastitis! She was shaking all over and was throwing up. Needless to say, she couldn’t go to the Mother Daughter Banquet, so Shanna had to fill in for her. Shanna was very nervous, to say the least, but she did very good.
Sunday at 4:00 am Faith woke up throwing up. We think she ate too much chocolate the day before. Mom kept her home from Church, just in case it wasn’t the chocolate. I felt sorry for Mom, not being able to go to Church on Mother’s Day.
Faith didn’t throw up any more. In fact, she wanted to get out of bed and play at 4:00 in the morning, after her episode. That girl!! 8^) Mom was able to go to Church Sunday night. After the service, we went out to eat at a nearby restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day.
