Dad was unable to preach this morning. Last night he passed out trying to go to the bathroom, and this morning as well. He doesn’t remember any of it. He is very weak. A man at our church filled in for him.
Dad’s appointment on Friday with a new urologist was canceled, and no one called us to let us know. So, Dad and Mom rode 1 hour and a half for nothing. They were very upset. But, the trip wasn’t a total loss. They went by ALDI’S Grocery Store while there. We don’t have one closer by. They also stopped by a yard sale and bought a recliner for Dad. That was a real answer to prayer. He needed one with the last surgery. We couldn't get him up the stairs. He had to sleep on the couch.
My sisters and I sang "Blood Bought My Freedom" this morning, in honor of the ones that have lost their lives for our country. Below are the words...
Land of the free.
Sweet home of liberty.
But it came at such a great price.
Our soldiers brave and true
Gave their lives for me and you.
Thank God for the red, white and blue.
Sweet home of liberty.
But it came at such a great price.
Our soldiers brave and true
Gave their lives for me and you.
Thank God for the red, white and blue.
Blood bought my freedom.
Someone had to die.
Someone freely took my place.
Blood was the price, the supreme sacrifice.
Someone died that we might be free.
Someone had to die.
Someone freely took my place.
Blood was the price, the supreme sacrifice.
Someone died that we might be free.
Over the sea
On an old rugged tree
A battle was won long ago.
It will never be fought again.
We have victory over sin!
Thank God for Mount Calvary!!
