Happy New Year! Things are bustling at our house. That's nothing new, but what we're bustling about is a little different…Wedding Plans! We've really enjoyed the extra visits from Shanna's fiancé, Jason, during December and now all the kids (and future inlaws) are extremely attached to him. He now acknowledges(only briefly, though) that there are others in the room besides Shanna. The sewing has begun! Gera got one bridesmaid dress done in four afternoons and one done on Saturday. We couldn't believe it. Monday she cut Mary's out. We waited until after Christmas to get serious about the wedding and now everybody is very serious. Shanna and Jason worked on the invitations last weekend and registered at Walmart. They really enjoyed that. Shanna has worked on corsages, bouquets, decorations and jewelry. The younger girls (weren't being measured for dresses) were coming to me with ideas they had for a Sister Shower they are planning for Shanna. Their ideas were so sweet. I'll write about them later. Shanna's birthday is this month on the 14th and we want to make that special also. Jason will be back the day after her birthday which is a Friday. It's the last day of our revival with Evangelist Jack Tripp. We've planned to go shopping this Thursday after orthodontist appointments, but now there's a chance of snow, so we'll see. We are enjoying the plans when we're not thinking about her leaving. God bless you all in 2010. ~Vicky~

Great job Gera on getting some of the dresses done! Danelle got engaged in December, so she's working on getting a seamstress and flowers ordered, etc. I believe Deanna is going to be helping with designing a invitation. We are excited for Danelle and Phil. They're wedding is set for May 15th.

I think it is so wonderful that you are following God's will in life and biblical courtship:) I started researching courtship about about 2 years ago and have decided to go with courtship after much thought over the matter with God. I will not date until i know it's the man i intend to marry:) Wonderful for ya'll in following in god's chosen path. I know Jason and Shanna are going to be so happy together:) See you at church!
